Made it to another milestone

So to my surprise without asking Uncle Sam sent me my Medicare card. Very nice but it’s weighing on my mind. Where did time go? Wasn’t just the other day I arrived at Kennedy Airport and thought all cars in the US were yellow ?

I was looking at some photo albums the other day.

 

I thought; "Who the heck is that young buck with my wife!"

 

She hasn't aged a bit.  Sometimes when we go out, they think I'm her Dad.

 

Maybe it's this David Letterman beard?

Ah, the infamous Medicare card. I actually love the way Medicare handles things. If you are going to use it, be sure to get a good Plan G supplemental. We use ACE medicare insurance. Of course this is my opinion and you must decide for yourself. Good luck you old codger.

Thankfully I'm there and still ticking along pretty well!, had my 83rd in January. Almost deaf, 'arthur' is pretty bad in hands/fingers, have to keep close watch on heart & kidneys ...... but. overall, I'm stilll quite active. I just bought 3 ----er/uh... green things (there are NO horses around here)

 

And I agree Medicare is alright! I had Delta Air lines insurance for some 30+yrs and thought it was great, but Medicare with a supplement is much better......

Again our good fortune continues. We have been double insured all of our lives from two strong unions with “Gold” plans virtually never spending a dime. Now that Medicare kicks in they automatically put us in a Medicare Advantage Plan sponsored by them with all included such as vision , dental , and prescriptions. No extra cost besides what we need to pay for Medicare Parts A&B. They already contacted us advising that it is automatically done at the same time Medicare starts. It seems they take the whole thing over providing their own card so we do not need to use Medicare’s.

It seems to me the first five years of life is amazing as to how a young one develops and the last five years how we deteriorate.

You had better look at that Advantage plan real close, especially if you are traveling out of your home state, or worse, out of the country. And in general, deductibles can end up costing you more then regular Medicare with supplemental. Just saying, do your due diligence.
