Did Wheel Horse make an original drawbar for this style hitch?  If they did does anyone have an extra one they may sell?  Thank You

WHX??

They might have but it's just a piece of 3/8 steel or so with some holes in it. Maybe came with the slot hitch?Wicked easy to make.

I don't have any to sell but could give you one.

I like to run the dual setups. @Achto likes them too.

Crap gotta go look for a pic.

Not the best but maybe the fellas have a better one. Does require a tad longer pin but another easy make.

Thank you for your help.  I’m trying to keep my 1966 856 as original as possible .  So if Wheel Horse did produce a drawbar I would like to find one.  If they didn’t then I will make one.

My dad was a blacksmith and loved the 953/1054 Wheel Horse tractors. He had several.  He made three drawbar hitched for out tractors that would attach on back of the snowplow bracket.  These were steel pieces hammered out on a power hammer and anvil.  Three or more holes in the back of the drawbar that was made like the International Farmall tractors had.   The standard slot hitch could remain on the tractor and be used with implements like a garden plow, cultivator, etc.

So if Wheel Horse did produce a drawbar.

Most certainly they did ... the pics of mine and Dan's are orginal. We just combined a slot with a drawbar which is perfectly acceptable as orginal on your '66.

Dealer options in the day you understand.

We all can appreciate that. We just wish @ebinmaine would incorporate orginal into his vocabulary...:ychain:

Thanks. I have seen some older tractors that have a bar in the slot hitch and I wasn’t sure if that set up was original or fabricated.

🤔🤠🐻

If it makes you feel better Jimbo I'll very likely be leaving one of my Tecumseh Horses as original paint.
