Help me ID my attachment bracket for a 312.

Hi fellas.  I’m finally getting around to attaching the dozer blade to my 1986 312-A.  Problem I’m having is I suspect I didn’t get the correct parts in my purchase.  The bracket you see is all I have to attach the rear of the dozer frame to the tractor.  My dozer blade is also shown.  Am I just not understanding the engineering here or??

That round bar needs to be in the back hole on the plow frame.

In this picture it is in the correct location

That bracket is for an older tractor with optional hyd. lift

Ok.  Ya I moved the bar forward trying to get it to work.  Seems that this bracket just doesn’t work on this tractor.  In the picture attached the bracket is clamped on the blade frame/bar, and in this configuration, I can’t find a way to attach the bracket to the tractor.

Isn't it attached to the tractor in this pic?

Does the bracket fit on the inside of both the plow frame rails?

Older A frame plows connect on the outside of the frames but that plow frame should have the bracket connect on the inside of the frame rails. The pic shows at least the one on the outside of the frame rail.

It is, but there is no way for the bar to go inside the bracket in that position

Looks like you need the newer style bracket . It mounts up/down, not forward back like your older one...

This is how it will look mounted.

Yours may work...

It looks like your pics have it mounted backwards, the spreader bar bolts to the axle towards the front of the tractor in front of the axle, & the locking levers go on the inside of the brackets

as shown in my picture, that way it will fit inside the plow frame...

Yes, Ed.  Thank you.  The issue here may be what is in the circled area of the pic below.  This bracket seems to prohibit proper installation. May just cut it off?

Handy Don

For sure that extension on the mount will conflict with the gas tank on a 312.

Still, the mount you have might be valuable to someone on the forum trying to set up the hydraulic lift on an older model that has its gas tank under the hood and more room under the rear fender. Maybe a swap? Post in both wanted and for sale? Might even be a member close by that’ll be happy to have that unusual mount!

Don’t know how pressing your need to mount the plow is, though.
