Snow plow lift

Recommended Posts

Wheel Horse312-8

Hello,

I have a snow plow attachment for my 417xt tractor. When the plow is attached to the frame of the tractor, it is only able to be lifted about 3” because the plow frame hits up to the bottom of the tractor. I don’t see any way around this and I’m hoping there is some work around to allow the plow blade to get a higher lift

thanks

I gotta' say, on my Workhorse, I can only get the blade about 2" off the ground.

If it hits the frame, higher is not an option.

Which one do you have?

First two require

Conversion Kit 106-8256 and Rear Attach-A-Matic Hitch 106-5694 or 107-8490

:text-thankyouyellow:

That is about all the lift you can expect. Once the plow frame hits the front axle that is about it.

A couple options are taller front tires and spacer blocks to lower the rear axle attachment point.

But if you mow with it as well the taller tires may impact deck angle / cut quality...

Thanks, I downloaded the file, I  have the full frame plow mount, I'll take a look  today and see if removing the pully box will give me a few more inches.

Thanks, I considered taller tires, but like you mentioned that would require perhaps resetting mower deck adjustments, I might try taking off the pully box to see if that gives me a few more inches.
