wheel horse attachment pricing help

Recommended Posts

stegs

Picked up another tractor yesteday, and it came with some stuff that i will not use.

I have collected a few items and its time to sell, but i have no idea on value

Wondering if you guys/gals can help me put somewhat of a value on what i got

1. 42" mower deck. Runs quiet but doesnt look the prettiest. seems fairly solid, maybe a small rust hole. No cracks. (i think around 125?)

2. 42" mower deck, runs quiet but doesnt look the prettiest. Has been welded and patched. However does have the stacked pulley on the discharge side for the powerflow bagger (i think around 125?)

3. 48" dozer blade/plow. In decent shape considering. Toro/wheel horse branded. Just flipped the cutting edge yesterday. (i think around 150?)

4. 48" dozer blade/plow.

5. Bervac w-0238 2 stage snowblower. In decent shape overall. spins free and quiet. Has the 2 helper springs (turnbuckles are rusted and can be replaced easy) Missing the crank and crank holder. Will also need a belt (again fairly cheap easy to replace) (i think around 350?)

6. Toro/wheel horse power flow blower/bagging system. 2 bag, in great shape. Powerflow is quiet and spins nice. Tube and bags are in nice shape. Probably will sell it with the mower deck, however id like to know what just the power flow/bagger and brackets are worth seperate?

If you guys can help me with prices. My barn is filling up with tractors and alot of these attachments i dont use or have duplicates of.......I want to get rid of them asap.

i would bet you will be hard pressed to sell the mower decks unless they are in exceptionally good condition or rare. 42 are some.of the most common and least desired. If you need them gone you could list for 50 and see if anyone bites. i would break mine down if the bearings were very good and keep or sell for spare parts (usually scrap any decks that werent great to save space).

These, bif they are in good shape, i think will sell for 75-150 (again, more if they are highly sought after like the 520 extension kit) but usually sell better in fall or leading into winter.

This one is a tough one. The bervacs are good, but are incredibly hard to find parts for. They didnt make a lot compared to the WH branded ones and went out of production early on. But, being rare and still functional it will sell to someone who needs it. Snowblowers are either very needed or not at all based on location. I dont have good pricing experience on 2 stage blowers, so I cant help but starting at 350 obo and being flexible should get some response. (again fall or early winter probably, less for out of season sales)

If you have a complete good condition setup (pulleys and brackets pulled off deck and level assist spring and/or counter weight) these do fetch some money. You might be able to some parts sell separately, but finding that buyer is a diamond in the rough. More people will be interested in the whole package. I sold a nearly new one for 500 but i would say 250-500.

If you are trying to get rid of them fast, sell them cheap and find a show or swap meet. Shipping works but can be complicated and expensive for the big stuff, which can put many buyers out of your market.

Good luck with your stuff, standard attachments always seem to be the hardest storage problem. I did end up with quite a few 'spares' to cover for the items I do use regularly. Hopefully im not too far off on market prices (especially for wanting to sell quick).

Thank you

Totally understand about the plows and blower. Now is not a good time to sell, but ill make someone a great deal if they show interest

The bagger i may just keep if i cant find a buyer. I throw it on the 520h this fall and use it for leave.

Those mower decks are not the greatest, however they are quiet and may work just fine for leaves

Just an FYI, I bought a 48" snow/dozer blade this fall with all attaching hardware, like new, local, for $200. I'm happy.
