'67Craftsman's 151 #1 Posted February 21, 2023 (edited) Hello Wheel Horse Folks! I'm the newest guy here, I just registered with props going out to member @Achto or Dan for making that recommendation regarding something I'm looking for from a member here that I can't get in touch with elsewhere. Don't get the wrong idea I'm not here just to get in touch with that certain member and abandon the group, I love all tractors including the Wheel Horses AND I am on multiple other tractor forums. I actually to be honest looked on here a couple times before joining, and was hesitant at first because I do not have Wheel horse.......yet even though I lost out on a free one before. Anyways, I hope to get one someday though and obviously when I do I will let y'all know. That said since I have no Wheel Horse at this time I may not be on here that much, as of right now. Anyway here is a little about me....... My name is Eric, I'm from Berlin Connecticut, I am 22 years old but I have been into tractors for as long as I can remember thanks to my grandparents on my fathers side. If I remember right I would say since I was 5 maybe 6 years old. I used to go from window to window and watch my grandfather mow the lawn, then my grandfather would push me on the tractor around the yard without starting the engine when I got older from what they tell me. That said you could say tractors are in my blood, I love em all and tractor pulling as well. I am also into classic cars, but especially Mopars (Dodges/Plymouths/Chryslers)..... not those p.o.s. imports like most people in my age group. I am the proud owner of 2 1967 Sears Craftsman Power Unit lawn tractors. Both with electric start and headlights, but one is a 6 horsepower model 855C and the other is a 10 horsepower 857C. The 855C I bought 2 years ago in 2021 from a member on another tractor forum that I am currently restoring, and the 857C I bought 3 years ago in 2020 from the town where my mothers father lives. My stepdad is also into tractors like me, and he also has a 1967 Craftsman like mine but a model 856C with a recoil or pull start and no headlights that his grandfather bought brand new. That tractor sat in the backyard for 30 years until 2018 when it was restored. My stepdad also has a red 1992 Murray too. Thank Y'all for lettin' me join, I'm lookin forward to gettin' to know new members. Here are all our tractors below, and if you are from New England and have been to the Zagray Farm spring show you probably seen them before........ That's great to hear you and your other half are coming to Zagray in May, I plan to be there on Sunday and Sunday only like I normally am. Unless I find and buy a Wheel Horse before the show, all the tractors in my first photo will be there.

You most certainly can post your Craftsman restoration in the other brands section. Great to see we have another Connecticut member on board! I try to hit all three Zagray shows each year but I’m a Saturday guy unless Saturday gets rained out. I’m a Wheel Horse guy…but there is one Craftsman in my herd 2

Thanks for letting me know. There seems to be quite a few members from Connecticut on the board, I think I counted maybe 4 so far including yourself. Andover huh, I been by the exit on the highway once, lol but never personally been there. I only go to the spring Zagray show because the summer show in July we go to a big car show in P.A, and in October we normally bring the tractors to the local fair every year. We go to Zagray on Sunday only because we all (meaning my mom stepdad and I) are working Saturday and normally every year we go to the show as a family.
oliver2-44 9,783 #21 Posted February 22, 2023 I hate to be the one to say it, but you really don’t want a Wheelhorse. Why you ask? Because that would be one less for me. Well, ok, I’m way down here in Texas so I guess you won’t hurt my horse hunting much
