Pullstart 62,837 #1 Posted February 21, 2023 December 13 or so, I was finishing the install of this stove. I built a bin (safely spaced) next to it and installed a chute to run the pellets from outside to the basement. So long as it’s fire pot is cleaned once in a while, and it’s left on LOW, it burns very well for our fairly open basement space. I’d say I’ve gone through more than 3/4 of the pellet hopper that holds almost exactly one ton. It’s been a great SUPPLEMENTAL heat source! Our furnace (heated mostly by the outdoor wood boiler) hasn’t run near as much and the house is still quite comfortable. Pullstart 62,837 #2 Posted February 21, 2023 It’s so funny how things go. I lost fire last night! It seemed that the pellets just quit feeding. The worst case always crosses one’s mind. After some quick searching online and shy of grabbing my meter and some tools, I came to a conclusion that it could either be the board, a vacuum switch, the auger motor, or a jam. A cheap coat hanger, now hanging above the stove on an unused landline wire, was able to pop a single pellet out of the chute and the rest commenced to feed just perfect once I plugged it back in! 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
