upstate yank 219 #1 Posted February 18, 2023 first of all again I want to thank the members here that were so kind with there wishes and understanding as my wife passing away back on the 8th day of December it has been really hard on me after 51 years together' she was the love of my life and she will always be; but in time we need to carry on and I know that she would want me to carry on with my hobby as the wheel horses' so I am back but for how long I really don't know' so my question is on a 10 horse Tecumseh motor what is the bolt pattern on the head bolts as one bolt is leaking out so I did buy a new head gasket but does it matter how the head bolts tighten down; again thanks to everyone who had a kind word 1 5 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
ri702bill 8,318 #2 Posted February 18, 2023 Yes, torque sequence, the torque in steps, the final torque, and the retorqueing after startup are all importasnt. This pdf should have the info. Be sure to sand the mating surface FLAT before installing. Recently posted that I did a valve job and head gasket on a H60 - had to retorque the bolts 3 times to get consistant torque. This site has specific information on Tecumseh head torque, hope it helps. https://www.manualslib.com/manual/408796/Tecumseh-Hh100.html?page=33 again thanks so much for this as it will for sure help when I replace the head gasket and yes so many memories we shared as the day of our wedding the day before Halloween as that day that she picked and I tell everyone that I got tricked and she got treated but after walking out of the church she had the biggest smile on her face 'but lets go back some years when we were dating she was baby sitting for her oldest sister and company was not aloud but being me I walked the mileage to see her and in my hand I had the biggest teddy bear to give her so while my visit was short as her sister came home earlier that expected so out the back door I went ;after time we both moved on and after years we got together again but during that time she dated so low life and got her pregnant so she had a 2 year old son which did not bother me but that I find out that again she was pregnant sad to say that I did not care as to me some in life make foolish decisions but due to the pass I did love her so yes I married to a ready made family and some told me that I was stupid to get in evolved sorry as due the love we had before it worked out just fine but years later our youngest daughter was killed by a drunk drive who ran a stop sign yes we had 2 daughters as life moved on 'now that hurt us both but we got though it ;but the thing is our kids are suppose to bury us not our kids 'now for the life if me will I really understand is 3 siblings passing away with in a few months on the same year as her sister passed in July her youngest brother in the month of November then my wife the first week of December x-mas and the so called new year didn't matter to me as what enjoyment did I have 'just another day really so now I am trying to pick up my life and trying to move on with out her as she was the love of my life and she will always be ;but now she is in no pain due to her open heart surgery 3 years back and with issues but now she is with her love ones which all shared a special bond during there years ;sorry for the long drawn out reply but at times I need to express the pain and lost that I have 1 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
