Whats the Wheel Horse 300/400 lug bolt thread pitch?

I had a wheel fall off yesterday because my spacers dont let me get enough bit on the lugs to really impact them onn so i need to find a taller headed lug bolt

I ended up making my own lug studs. They are 7-16-20 fine thread. I bought hardened all thread and cut in equal lengths threaded into hub and nut on backside.  Much easier to mount tires especially if full of ballast.  Just used open ended acorn lug nuts on the outside

If you want to order bolts, get 7/16"-20 x 1.25" or 1.5" length. 

Screw them in after removing the hub set screws which probably needed to be replaced anyways....

 

You're probably going to want a washer there because otherwise the shoulder on the Bolt damages the inside of the hub.

My spacers are thick enough that the tapered shoulder (should) not contact the hub, they are 2" spacers to clear the 24x12x12 cleated tires off the gas tank.  Thr stock bolts dont have a real thick head so when the bolts go into the taper, the socket pulls off the hex

Not alot of options in 7/16-20 with a longer hex head...i found some i liked but $28 in lugs + $30 freight..no thanks.  I tapered a socket and got more aggressive, and used loctite, time will tell.

Run 7/16-20 UNF fully threaded grade 8 bolts of the proper length into the wheel flange using red loctite and use lug nuts.
