Burnerman 758 #1 Posted February 15, 2023 Does anyone collect these types of wrench’s? I found this one metal detecting an old farm. It’s all cleaned up and supposedly rare from what I can find online. 2

oliver2-44 9,739 #3 Posted February 15, 2023 Cool wrench. Planer Jr was a walk behind tractor.
ri702bill 8,316 #4 Posted February 15, 2023 Closest thing like that for me is the multi-wrench for the oxy-acetelene torch. Had all the sizes needed, but no bottle opener.... 2
953 nut 55,192 #5 Posted February 15, 2023 That is a very cool find. My father had a big old Planet Jr walk behind garden tractor in about 1950, the steel wheels were taller than I was, but I was only five then. 1

I would think on an old farm there would be tons of metal stuff to set off the detector.

Very little stuff in this area. I’m searching the edges of the old pastures. It’s all woods now. I find quite a few old shotgun brass. All different and most 60-100 yr old. I found a broken cap gun about 5” deep in the woods and a bunch of spent lead. The dumps are where a detector is useless but with the new detectors and patience you can almost “see” what’s in the ground. 2
Burnerman 758 #8 Posted February 17, 2023 The wrench goes up on eBay tmw at 11am. EST. I’ve learned more about antique farm wrenches in the past 2 days than I ever thought I would!
