ri702bill 8,220 #2 Posted February 11, 2023 Onan's are infamous for having a loose valve seat problem after a lot ot hours use, like yours.If ignored when the problem shows up, the engine is not fixable, I've heard. If so, you probably spent several hundred on new parts. A good running P 220 ONAN with good compression, new starter and ignition and no unusual noise is probably worth $4-500 bucks. RED-Z06 2,212 #4 Posted February 12, 2023 I paid 490 shipped for a complete p220 with the deere 1 7/16 crank...and it had a few issues to address. Id do a compression test first, the valve seats will come loose..wrecks the block. Oil filter side Intake seat every time. That said..unable to hear it run and no compression test, missing some stuff...figure 100-125, its a gamble and freight is $75+...its a parts donor if theres any problems 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
