ri702bill 8,327 #3 Posted February 7, 2023 (edited) McMaster Carr has them - but - the depth is certainly greater than the length of the inserting tool. - They call them Shaft Repair Sleeves, not exactly cheap at around $50 plus shipping... ri702bill 8,327 #7 Posted February 7, 2023 I did a quick thumb thru on the McMaster site - the term "double lip" is misleading - it has the standard sealing lip in the same spot - the outermost is NOT a sealing surface, just a dust & dirt excluder - does not really enhance the ability to seal..... Careful how you read those Bill. You're correct in the way that you state that.. BUT the advantage of a double lip seal - can be - but NOT always, that the inner sealing ring rides on a surface far enough away from the original one that it doesn't get caught in it. pfrederi 17,741 #12 Posted February 7, 2023 Kohler I guess likes to keep secrets. The Kohler part number for your seal is X-583-2-s. SKF interchange can't find it neither can Timken (see pic). To get a speedie sleeve you are going to have to know the dimensions so you could find a SKF equivilent (there may not be one)...and like ri702bill said the installation tool will most likely be to short to work.
