Dan.gerous 2,696 #26 Posted February 3, 2023 Next up were the decals, I made them myself just to be awkward. Drew the designs up in the computer before printing onto standard A4 paper. This was then given multiple coats of lacquer front and back before being stuck on with a spray glue. It worked really well, even if the larger components like the fern and sharks mouth needed 3 sheets each.
Dan.gerous 2,696 #27 Posted February 3, 2023 And the finished product! It cost around £300 and about 60 hours of labour - mostly head scratching and tea drinking.
Dan.gerous 2,696 #28 Posted February 3, 2023 A picture showing progression from my initial concept until completion. The third image down was coloured up on the PC to check what it would look like in real life. Really happy with how the idea in my head turned almost exactly into reality. 1

Dan.gerous 2,696 #30 Posted February 3, 2023 And some shots of her in action. Unfortunately the outboard spent more time not working than working - dodgy HT lead. Have a video somewhere to upload. The boat is also featured in this months Small Boat Magazine - an American publication. https://smallboatsmonthly.com/article/sea-bestia/ 2
