Chris G 3,296 #1 Posted January 23, 2023 (edited) I was at a friend's today with my JD 110 and we had that and his Wheel Horse out for some seat time and his better half took some nice photos and I figured I'd share. I know I know some of us don't like green machines. Sorry ahead of time but I'm a old machine lover of all makes and models. I just have a bigger space for WHEEL HORSE!!! Your like me restored 110RF and UN-restored Front Blade. Though I still haven't brought myself to use my 110RF for snow yet. Myself I have been Tractor color Blind for Years. He wasn't very good at fixing stuff (unlike my other grandpa), but he sure enjoyed doing things with it. As stated above I'm not much of a JD fan but I have long held an admiration for the early Johnny Popper sound and those 60s Round Fenders. Enough in fact that I have a set here to be used on a project. No matter the make it's great to see them out getting USED in the weather as was originally intended. @oliver2-44 makes the point that keeps me and Trina in the Wheelhorse Herd. It's a simple matter of sheer practicality. Horses have a comparable or better ruggedidity level to many others but... The parts are more readily available to us. The prices are lower. Sailman 1,291 #9 Posted January 23, 2023 Reminds me of growing up on the farm in Iowa. We had an equal mix of John Deere and Farmall (IH) tractors of all sizes. Equally reliable tractors in the working farm size. Comparable in service, repairs, parts availability, etc. Would still keep older ones in either brand. Chris G 3,296 #13 Posted January 23, 2023 Yes it is. Stripped everything out of it and off of it that was not needed. Mad a few adjustments to it and still got a few pieces to add. But I'll be honest using it as a box blade, it can move some heavy, wet or fluffy snow with no problems. 2 4 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I've been seriously considering adding side wings to at least two of our plows. You could tell you was sitting on something real not a throw away The Only issue I have always had with the 140H3, if You Have Rear PTO Installed, you can't use the Cat 0 3point Hitch. But at Least You could still use the Integral Hitch (clevis Hitch) I have a 1974 140H3 as well. I have to admit it raised an eyebrow for both of us. Interesting thought. I've thought about adding wings to a 48 or even my 60 inch plow. A box style pusher is a neat idea too!!
