Pullstart 62,891 #1 Posted January 18, 2023 Hey y’all, I’m looking for ideas. I need to run a piece of 1-1/2” exhaust through the sidewall of a trailer race trailer. There is no insulation, but I’d like a trim ring for asthmatics and wouldn’t mind making it dual purpose like a wood stove “thimble”. Trying not to break the bank, I’m thinking something like a boat hull exhaust, or the like. I am seeing stuff over $100 but we have $30 into the pipe for the job. Thoughts? Ideas? Sources? Blasterdad 2,692 #3 Posted January 18, 2023 Pretty sure these will work for ya, 2" chrome flanges that fit a 2" OD stainless pipe. ID ends up 1 7/8. Pipe is 17" long, should be plenty. I'm about a 1/2 hour drive from ya, come get 'em... Message me if ya want them....

953 nut 55,243 #6 Posted January 19, 2023 Not sure how long that sink drain would hold up but it is worth a try. You probably need to consider using some flex pipe coming from the generator.

We’ll likely copper RTV the 1.5” pipe into the sleeve as a dampener / isolator.
bc.gold 3,403 #8 Posted January 19, 2023 check out the yellow pages for dairy supply, sanitary piping with ti clamps, then ask what they have in the scrap I mean the used surplus inventory. This is the type pf pipe I used to build my still for essential oils.
Pullstart 62,891 #9 Posted January 24, 2023 Thanks again @Blasterdad for your generosity! It made this generator so much better! The diesel exhaust was routed through the body and down to the bottom of the trailer, fumigating everyone inside. Along with the terrible choice to put it down low, it was banging in the body of the trailer too. The exit is now about 7’ or so off the ground and on the opposite wall of the entry door. 2
