WHX?? 48,815 #101 Posted March 4, 2023 Least it's not terribly cold EB. One cannot deny the power of the sun in melting things off this time of year. Weather person says we gain almost 4 minutes of daylight a day this month. 12 hours ago, Ed Kennell said: When the acorns and beech are unavailable under the snow. Mast crop of acorns last fall & uncovered them with snow removal. Six deer feeding on them this AM. 1

ebinmaine 67,462 #104 Posted March 15, 2023 Yesterday's massive storm coming across the United States left us with around 9 or 10 inches of heavy wet snow. I took these pictures at 3:45 AM when I went out to move the snow so I could go to work. 4
gt14rider 759 #105 Posted March 15, 2023 Autumn said she's going to stay in today, 25"+. Lots of snow drifts, bench in there somewhere.
rjg854 11,361 #106 Posted March 15, 2023 Actually had some plowable snow out of this storm, maybe 5-6 inches. Really the 1st time there was enough to do that.
Handy Don 12,217 #107 Posted March 15, 2023 Mostly missed here. We have enough elevation that it stuck on grass and trees until it went back to rain and mostly washed away. Hard surfaces were only wet. At the bottom of our street, nothing stuck!
lynnmor 7,305 #108 Posted March 15, 2023 I went to my daughters place yesterday to check on it since she is out of town. We had a light dusting that disappeared in hours but that didn't stop Windsor Township from spreading road salt everywhere. There was absolutely nothing but salt to destroy vehicles. ebinmaine 67,462 #109 Posted April 2, 2023 April 2nd. Trina and I went for a woods walk yesterday evening. You can see below there's a fair amount of open ground but there's also a lot of ground with over a foot of snow left. Gettin' there!!
rjg854 11,361 #110 Posted April 2, 2023 Went from 72 degrees yesterday to 28 degrees this morning. The sun is shining with a high of about 37. What a difference a day makes. 1

I just left a lumber yard in Portland Maine where it was 42° and the guys working outside there were dressed up like it was MINUS 42°. 😂
Ed Kennell 38,163 #116 Posted April 22, 2023 66F here this AM. This is a pic from 2021 on this day when I was attempting to protect the fruit tree blossoms from a heavy frost.
