Pullstart 62,916 #63 Posted February 23, 2023 We’re up to maybe 3” of sleet. It’s 28 now and will be 38 tomorrow. Day two of a day in advance school closure. My feel? They have more snow days in the bank than weather allows. No reason to name a storm, no reason to panic, no reason to close school.

Racinbob 11,096 #66 Posted February 23, 2023 I've been waiting for the hammer to drop here all winter but I'm starting to think it won't. I've only cleared the drive twice this winter and that was cuz I just wanted to play. Here locally we've had well under 10" all season total but not far north they are above average. Strange winter. This one just gave us a bunch of rain and it was in the mid 30's today. Tomorrow it's low 50's.

We’re down many inches of snow this year. Mildest winter I can remember. I just hope it’s not the hottest summer. 👎😜

A little mix early today but it’s been snow since. Still not enough to get Snowhog out. Maybe by morning I can play.?.?.

Blasterdad 2,692 #70 Posted February 23, 2023 Went to a friends house this morning to check on her & her mother, their generator hadn't been started in years. I took the carb off to clean it, the "gas" in the bowl was blueish brown The main jet was clogged up but after a good cleaning it started up first pull & ran like new. Made a fuel run & filled it with fresh gas. Brought 5 extra gallons home for my generator just in case... Better safe than sorry. I'm about 20 miles north of Kalamazoo, & so far we've got about 1/2 an inch of frozen slop on the ground & heavy rain at times. Starting to wind down now, radar says about another hour, hopefully...
ebinmaine 67,657 #71 Posted February 23, 2023 4:15 am there's about 4" on the ground and another 2 to 4 expected. Certainly not the biggest snowfall we've seen this year.

Biggest concern is for the apple orchards, trees are already blooming and even if we don't get snow we are quite likely to have a few hard frosts and the crop will be lost for this year. 12 hours ago, WHX?? said: well you know Richard... here I was expecting the pic of of the sno man getting stabbed...
