GAJoe 842 #1 Posted January 6, 2023 (edited) The two pullies on the side spindles on the 36" deck that I bought. They look like several that I see from 42" decks, part # 106072. Was the same part used on 36" decks? They' had rust build up on the belt surface and now that I have the rust cleaned out they are not smooth. I'm concerned that it would shorten the belt life. Are my concerns justified? Can you give a part # so that I can start looking for replacements? Edited January 6, 2023 by GAJoe
GAJoe 842 #2 Posted January 6, 2023 (edited) Would trading be a possibility? I thought that I found some on the deck that I bought that needs lots of work. They are the same diameter but a smaller bore ( I think 5/8") without a key way. They were held in place with lock washers under the large nuts. I would trade these pullies and spindle shafts with nuts and lock washers for my pully alone. Edited January 6, 2023 by GAJoe

I think that is for the deck that uses lock washers under the grade 8 nuts to hold the pullies down. The pullies don't have key ways. That deck is in too bad of shape to save; lots of rust through. I did salvage the tension bar from it. I did save the pullies and spindle shafts to trade for the pullies that I need with the key way on the 36" deck. gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,037 #5 Posted January 6, 2023 If there is a pulley that fits the shaft but has no keyway you can use it with a lock washer and regular nut. 1
