Hydro pedal kit

Recommended Posts

Does anyone happen to make a pedal kit for the hydro's anymore? id like to put one on my 417A? A few years back there was a member MattD that I bought one from for my 520 but I haven't heard much from him and I don't think he's doing it anymore.

Folks have been known to Fab their own setups.

I've seen pictures of tractors with the right hand pedal added on where it never had one. Also using an aftermarket accelerator pedal as the actuator. Also seen set up that was home shop fabricated  that used a large flat piece of Steel with the pivot point about a third of the way up so it would ride just forward of your heel.

Push down with your toe is forward. Push down with your heel was reversed.

Any of the above could have rods with heim joints running from the pedal of your choice up to the stock motion lever.

@Ed Kennell was it you that built one with a default to reverse?

Looks good.Any pictures of how you handled the linkage inside? Neutral interlock? Motion centering?

Thanks!

I made my own.  Still working on mods to the pedal design and I want to make an automatic return to neutral setup for it.  My goal is a bolt on kit with minimal cutting or drilling required to install.

Excellent approach there Bill. Can be removed at a later date if desired - no one knows the difference....

Wishing you good luck as I follow!

I got a short stint on a tractor with separate forward and reverse pedals and I have to say I liked it. Wish I’d gotten to look under the tin to see how the mechanism worked!

There will be a hole in the belt guard and I've drilled a hole above the linkage to reroute the fuel line.  Those are the only major holes I have drilled so far.  No major changes otherwise.

Thank you.  Lots of other more important things going on in my life.  This isn't a priority project, and progress will be slow.

Another home shop built pedal here too, really wasnt that difficult, 2-3 hrs with odds/ends laying around the shop. Didnt even try for neutral return, I run/use 'Big D's" mostly and WH didnt use that feature from factory.

I had a 1980's Massey GT that had it built in, but it didnt work after those 40+ yrs. I tinkered with it, but didnt put much effort in it, the pedal worked just fine without out it.
