Achto 27,568 #104 Posted May 21, 2023 (edited) Spent the morning with Jim wet sanding the sheet metal on 2 tractors, then painted one of them. Used the rest of my day to do some more assembly on my tractor. Made some good progress with the few hours that I had to work on it. Achto 27,568 #106 Posted May 29, 2023 Added a few more pieces over the last couple of days. Yesterday I installed the hydraulics and got them plumbed. Hitches installed on the rear end. Today I was able to show more progress. Front end completed, engine bolted down, clutch & brake system installed. I also cut the pads out for the foot boards. 4 9

Achto 27,568 #108 Posted May 30, 2023 (edited) Moving right along today. Started out by applying 3M spray adhesive to the running boards and the rubber pads for them. Ran the plumbing for for the fuel system, made new throttle cables and continued to bolt pieces on. I had trouble remembering how the piece of angle iron was mounted below the drive belt. A big thanks to Jim for some picture assists. Turned out that I had the drive pulley pushed too far on to the crank shaft. In this next picture everything looked so purty that I had to take a picture before I covered it up. A few picture of how I ended the day. Down to wiring and bolt on the last few pieces. WHX?? 48,815 #109 Posted May 30, 2023 Not to shabby ... not to shabby at tall. .. take it the trip to the dentist is wearing off? Farmer says no Cap'n on the meds tho? Bummer I would skip them meds and let him ease the pain. So the book says 1/16 - 1/32 clearance on that lower belt thingy? Pretty slim margin right @953 nut? 1

Now I'm just waiting for the luxury of solid food again. 16 minutes ago, WHX?? said: I ran out ther in my knickers to crop those pics Dude!! 953 nut 55,197 #115 Posted May 30, 2023 Outstanding paint and body work there. I have found that the TS 4l-820 is a bit too short for the clutch to wok, looks like that is what you are using. Mine has an 83" belt. 1 1

That is exactly what I am using. I matched it up to the belt that was on the tractor. If it doesn't work I'll switch it out for a 4L-830. Thanks for the tip!!

Achto 27,568 #120 Posted May 31, 2023 (edited) Ran into a sight dilemma. I have the lens for the generator light but I do not have the part to hold the light bulb. Did a little head scratching & think that I came up with a solution, well one that seems to work any way. One lens - one 194 bulb socket. Shave a little off from the tabs on the 194 bulb socket and Walla!! Fits tight, takes a bit of effort to remove the socket. Used a 149 bulb for lower wattage but could use the bulb to be a bit shorter. Edited May 31, 2023 by Achto 5
WHX?? 48,815 #121 Posted May 31, 2023 (edited) Have I not told you anything? Have a couple of those "IN STOCK" including a NOS for those special occasions. This resto might be one of those. Orginal tail light now... yer on yer own. Heard tell @Shynon might have one but he's dropping trousers for it. Edited May 31, 2023 by WHX??

Looking at Dan's photo it appears his idler is the same as mine was with lots more range to move up to tighten the longer belt. 14 hours ago, Achto said: sight dilemma.
