davem1111 2,030 #3 Posted December 30, 2022 "The Honda Sport 90, Super 90, or S90, is a 90 cc Honda motorcycle ultra lightweight new design motorcycle, the engine based on the Honda Super Cub, and was made from 1964 to 1969. The motorcycle continued in production In various forms for example the S90Z in Indonesia. [1]" When I was in High School back in the early to mid 1970's, my neighbor (same age) had one of these that was pretty beat up, but it ran. We used to ride it in the fields. At some point the exhaust pipe fell off, so it got loud and it was cool that you could see the flames coming out when we rode it in the dark. It wasn't very good over jumps, but... we did it anyway. 2 1

davem1111 2,030 #5 Posted December 30, 2022 My first bike was around that same timeframe and similar design features, but was a 2-stroke. This picture is not mine - I have a few pics of mine around here somewhere but will find later...

Pullstart 62,905 #7 Posted December 30, 2022 When I was a boy, we lived on 5 acres in the woods. I found a dirt bike tire in the creek and I must have pushed that tire 200 miles that summer. I was gonna get a bike to fit the tire. Child like figurin’.

Would love to have one here to knock around on. 2

My latest is a Suzuki VStrom and all I do is the oil/filter now. Even has ABS brakes! 3

pacer 3,173 #12 Posted December 30, 2022 This is my first "motorcycle?) was 14yrs, had a paper route and saved the $50 needed for it. Was just the beginnings of my love of 2 wheelers. When my oldest was 12-13? I found a Honda like the one here and -- again paid $50 to get it for him, pretty beat, but he and I fixed it and him and then his younger brother got it. I finally got over 2 wheels and found red 4 wheels with a horse on them --- my sons and grand sons all still have bikes, though a quite bit different from that little honda! 4 2
953 nut 55,283 #13 Posted December 31, 2022 I had a Honda 90 when I was stationed in Charleston, SC in the Navy ('66 to '68). I lived off base on the Isle of Palms which meant I had to cross the old steep draw bridge twice a day. the Honda would make it almost all the way to the top then I had to jump off and walk it the rest of the way. It was all I could afford at the time and a lot of fun on the beach but was just a bit short on power.

It's in the woods on my sister and her husband's property they just settled on last week in South Carolina. It has no engine or back tire. I can have it if I want it but it's too far gone for me to do anything with it.
