WheelHorse520H 708 #1 Posted December 27, 2022 Greetings all, I have been looking for a snow cab for my 416 or 520 but they are a bit out of my price range. I am posting here to see if anyone has ever built their own and how did you do it? I was thinking some PVC pipe and a tarp, but I’m not sure where it mounts to and what to use for windows, if that would even work. Thanks, Andrew
Ed Kennell 38,198 #2 Posted December 27, 2022 You may try an ad in our classified wanted section. You may get lucky and find a reasonable used cab. If you do go the DIY route, I would suggest using steel conduit that is easily bent to shape and weldable. I can visualize three up side down "U" shaped supports. A long one for the front that mounts to the foot rests and two short ones for the mid and rear that mounts to the seat pan bolts. A plywood panel for the roof, rear and sides to add rigidity. Plexiglas windshield Plywood doors with plexiglas windows. Canvas boots around the bottoms to seal to the tractors hood and seat pan.

Thanks, Andrew Why Not try to adapt a Bercomac 34-Inch Cab to Your wheel Horses https://us.bercomac.com/products/700271-34-berco-winter-cab since OTC s stopped Making Cabs This Year for the 308 thru 520. Since this is Such a low cost https://www.originalcab.com/Toro-Windbreak-Cab-For-XL-Series-50010.html try adapting it to the 416 or 520 series Edited December 27, 2022 by sergeant 2

The biggest problems I am having is how to attach it. I don't want to drill into or weld to anything, and I don't have a welder or one that I can borrow so it can't be made of metal.
