@Racinbob  , MERRY CHRISTMAS !  yes still with oil , like the air thru that  hutch , yet totally keeps out the weather , had it set up last night , after a couple of light  flickers . rather be ready , than do a  3am set up . so of course , there was no power issues , ran it a couple of hrs  this am , got the armature / related  solidly warm.  gas is full added STA BIL , as always . cut about 3 ft  off the back of that hutch, was crushed by a tractor . very heavy thick fiberglass , anything  else I  can help with ?  pete

Being prepared. The best way to keep something from happening.

I was just curious about the oil heat. I haven't seen many having that anymore. I remember my parents having it. The house was originally coal, then up graded to oil and then they went with gas. Those pipes stayed on the outside of the house for quite a while until my Dad resided the place.

Merry Christmas!!

@Racinbob  been here 44 years  , always been oil , put in a new ASCENT OIL BURNER , 2 YEARS AGO , super efficient  ,got 32 years on the burnham unit I  installed , also did central a/c  years ago , up here , typically its oil  over gas . notice  a lot of the stand by power units are  propane .  would like to have one  on fuel oil . but from what I have seen the demand is so high on stand by power , typically well over a year  for installation.  merry  christmas !

Sparky

Giving mine a test right now…I’ll let it power up the whole house for at least 20 minutes

Reading at one of the farthest outlets from the generator. Happy with that!

@Sparky   noting you have the same type . generator as me . added these for a  forward ft wheel set up, http://www.electricalslang.com/Slang/corn clamp   corn clamps can easily be used on the gen tube frame to threaded rod  , 3/4 " axel  for wheels . originally used for cross conduit work , easily adapted  for similar  ,  bolt ons ,  pete
