Need help identifying round hood

I took this picture last summer when I picked up a NOS deck (for vertical shaft B-series tractors). The guy was selling the decks for his grandmother, whose husband had a Wheel Horse dealership. He didn't say the tractor was for sale, and I didn't ask. I've been thinking about it on and off ever since, and in my mind have been picturing it in my garage.

Does anyone know the model and approximate year?

I would say by the foot rests it's a 1960 suburban either a model 400 or 550 , do you know what engine it has , Kohler or Techumseh ? I may be wrong but those hood decals don't look correct for 1960 , Looks to be a pretty clean tractor wouldn't hurt to ask if it's for sale.

Something’s funny about that exhaust pipe.  It’s like it’s shower curtain rod or something.  Soft enough to have funky bends.  Interesting way to dry dock it and preserve the tires!  I wonder if it balances on the rear end and foot rest, or of it’s propped up somehow?

Belt guard and foot rests are 1961 but they are bolt on so who knows.  What treasures are in those Wheel Horse boxes?

Could be a lead pipe, they are not too difficult to bend.

Just like you  to look at the beach ball...  check out what's on the end of that pipe! The holy grail of mufflers???

Looking up under the hood it looks like a rectangular cutout for the controls which would be a 60. If the footrests are diamond plate it's 60, if they are cast it's 61 but those look funky. Maybe homemade. Looking at where the exhaust pipe goes in the engine I'm leaning towards Tecky. Decals are for sure wrong but Terry has the fix for that.

I don't know what the engine was. Unfortunately, I was in a hurry and didn't look closely at the tractor. I wish I had taken the time to make more than one picture of it.

I should have explained this in my first post. It's not levitating and supporting boxes - I flipped the picture to make identification a little easer.

Wow talk about NOS!

You guys see what I'm seeing? Bolt holes for the horizontal shafted tractor type carriers. 

Might be an easy conversion for a rusted out shell.
