Maybe I’ll mount the blower on the gt1800 electric and give it a go, but prefer the Steiner with blade.

Sounds very interesting...

If you do please post pics and performance info... love to hear how long it lasts in the cold turning a blower...

I might try it, it was impressive mulching leaves, maybe it would run blower although lithium batteries don’t like cold 🥶

Back in post #10 of this thread I posted a link for some heated gloves & said that I would give a report on them.

First try was this morning, -1 with 25+mph winds running the walk behind snow blower. I was outside for about 2hrs. So far I would give them an 8 on a scale of 1-10. Hands stayed completely warm. Finger tips were slightly cold but not any where near the point of having to endure pain while warming them up. I had the gloves on their highest setting and had about 2 hours worth of battery life yet after I was done. Ran the battery dead before putting them back on the charger.

I'm seeing a pair of those in the near future. My hands are the first thing to make me head inside to get warm.

Careful with those batteries. I'm assuming they are lithium. Unlike the ni-cad batteries lithium won't develop a memory and you will actually shorten their life by totally discharging them. My Ridgid cordless drills just shot down when the batteries get to a certain level so the operator can't run them too low. Kinda nice but there's no warning and you can bet that I'll be in the most awkward spot ready to drill that hole or run that screw in when I pull the trigger.....and nothing happens. :angry-teeth:

Thanks for the advice. To discharge the batteries I just left the gloves on until they shut off on their own. Hopefully that did not draw the batteries down too far.

Cool. They may be doing the same thing my drills are. Just know that lithiums are just as happy going on the charger just to top off if you need to.

Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Got the technicals on the batteries? What charges them ... guessing they came with a charger? What's the recharge time & are the batteries replaceable?

Yikes.... paid less for their tools...I was hoping they had some that use M12 batteries.

They come with a split cable that plugs into any USB charger. Battery end of the cables are the same as most new Android phones. The batteries are replaceable and take about 5 to 6hrs to recharge.

Milwaukee M12 batteries may be a bit bulky to jam into a glove. :twocents-twocents: As for the price of their gloves, it seems in line for something with the Milwaukee brand name on it. Believe it or not, the Milwaukee gloves are not the most expensive heated ones that I have seen. I found some in the $300 dollar range.  Like most things in life the price will go as far as they can get someone to pay.

I was hoping they got creative... their jackets use them. Yep paying a bit more for the name.

Keep us posted on how they pan out.
