Pullstart 62,840 #6 Posted December 20, 2022 Cool stuff Rob! Tecky or not, those 6 hp short frame square hoods have a lot of bite to the rear tires!
Retired Wrencher 5,451 #7 Posted December 20, 2022 (edited) Rob, I have had a few of these. Nice little putters. The only thing I suggest is the carb. If you have an original, treat it like gold. Other than that nice lite tractor to have. There is a member hear that makes seats for those pans. I pick one up from him this summer. Rob J. 1,941 #8 Posted July 28, 2023 Got a chance to get him running. Old Tecumseh runs pretty damn good once it’s dialed in. Cleaned it up. Degreased the wheels. Changed the fluids. Got the hitch pin out. Put a new seat on him. Pull starts on the first pull even when cold. Starter works good. Crappy paint job the PO did. It won’t be hard to make it look better than it does now. First two pics are before I washed it up. 2 2
Rob J. 1,941 #9 Posted July 29, 2023 PO painted and put repop decals over all of it. I spent my night taking the new off and bringing back the old. They aren’t perfect but sure as hell better than it was. I used 180 grit sandpaper and patience . I topped it off with and rubbing of Goo-Off. Fender pan is sanded down. Fixing the new again. 😉 Gitty Up! 2

Rob J. 1,941 #11 Posted August 2, 2023 A little more progress today. Not looking to be perfect by any stretch but hopefully better than it was. 1

Rob J. 1,941 #14 Posted August 4, 2023 (edited) Saved original decal. PO painted over it so I had to carefully sand the old paint off then masked it before paint. Turned out better than I expected. Edited August 4, 2023 by Rob J.
Rob J. 1,941 #15 Posted August 5, 2023 I think saving the original decals was worth it. 1
