I would have to have a step ladder to get in it and would be stuck inside until someone got me a ladder to get out.

Isn’t Argo the company that made those 6-wheel amphibious ATVs in the ‘70s?  I thought they were extinct.  That thing is pretty cool, though.  Any idea how much it costs?

Mom bought an Argo several years ago.  A niece of mine was wheel chair bound but loved to fish. She could get into the Argo on dry land, then my brother could drive into the pond so she could fish.  Unless you had a trolling motor attached, this thing was like a floating bathtub and each breeze would blow you at will.  The 6 tires spinning barely made it maneuverable.   That was about the only thing it was used for but served it's purpose. The Argo would beat you up riding on rough ground.  I would get a kick out of watching the grandbabies bouncing along.  Nevertheless, they never turned down a ride.  With the six axles below water level, there was quite a bit of upkeep to it also.   We sold it three or four years ago.  A fellow whose farm land was separated by a COE lake wanted to cross an arm of the lake without having to go around the arm on county roads.  I suggested he use a trolling motor.  It was fun while it lasted.

Did you all figure the gas mileage?… at 25 mph speed and a 25 gallon tank, that’s 1 mpg as I figure. 1 hour and you’re out of gas. Would have to use spare gas tanks to get back home…

I don’t understand the figures Tim?  :confusion-confused:

my truck has a 55 gallon capacity but I can still drive 1,000 miles at 65-75 mph :handgestures-thumbupright:

???

1.3 - 2.2 gallons per hour.  25 gallon tank.

So if worst case of 2.2 gph is fully loaded at 25 MPH, that is a bit over 11 hours, and 285 miles... about 11 MPG

At 1.3 GPH, that's like almost 20 hours of run time.

and of course, you could spring for the optional fuel tank(s).

Did you cipher backwards?
