My thinking is that you might want a little 'wiggle room' when trying to wrassle a 65 Lb weight into place. Still use the 3/8" bolt... just make the hole larger to ease installation. The shop will know already to make the holes slightly over, but not all the way to 1/2" 60-65lb for me is pretty light. There were two different bolt hole sizes AND spacing over the years. All my early tractors use 1/2" fasteners. the C81 uses 3/8" at a different spacing. Found that out while making the set for the C81... Bill The depth of the weight does not hit the hub. Yes 100 a weight is high, but finding a pair and then paying shipping, way more. Wheel Horse weights are light and too expensive if found, last set I found guy wants 300 before shipping for a rusty pair of front weights. Yes, the spacing can be different. I have also seen weights that are threaded and bolted from the backside of the wheel, thinking they are rear weights for 8" wheel on a lawn mower. ri702bill 8,296 #12 Posted December 16, 2022 (edited) Yup - 25 Pounders - got them for 50 cents a pound used (second set was $1.00 a pound) The front rims are wider and deeper on the C81 - that one allowed me to bolt a 7-1/2 Pounder inside the 25 pounder.....
