NJ - no snow predicted.  Rain Thursday and Friday.

Looking at the so-called "Long Range Forecast" for the winter and it is said that La Nina will keep the jet stream above us here and the result could be a bit warmer and less snow than average.

Not good for all y'all in the Northern tier states though!

We'll see...

I'm sure you reminded him that it is still a garden tractor, not an earthmover or a bulldozer. Gotta take care of that frame "F" plate.... Easy does it.....

Might do the same for us here in Southern Maine.

We're only about 25 or 30 miles from the ocean even though the mountains back us up so it can easily go either way.

It was only 1.5 - 2" in eastern MA last weekend, but my son was glad of the chance to test the new-to-him 312-H and plow at their new-to-them home and get a feel for how best to maneuver for the drive and walks.

He had enjoyed mowing over the summer but declared that plowing is even more fun. :)

We got eight to ten in the Berkshires Sunday afternoon into Monday morning. Light and easy to move, the storm for Friday is up in the air. I've seen perdition from rain, as much as eighteen inches.

For Central PA:  2” - 4” snow from Thursday morning till Friday morning, low to mid-30’s.

Why don’t we check back in afterwards and report on what actually happened?  It could prove amusing.

Update: Now calling for mixed precipitation with 4 - 7 inches of snow with a glaze of ice.  Yuck.  Should look pretty though, so there’s that.

Predicting the weather is well known to be... Well... Unpredictable.

Add to that my geographical location in between the ocean which is an interesting influence and Mount Washington NH which is widely known for having some of the most aggressive weather in the world.

As with most of you I have several sources of weather information.  I pay the most attention to the National Weather Service Snow Prediction Maps.

They're almost always off a little bit like everybody else but they're most often the closest.

I live just south of the B in Fryeburg.

Looks like I'm forecast for about 8". Notice the green circle around Mount Washington. They've got a 24" potential!!

No snow or wind in my area. Just damn cold. It's the coldest it's  been here for some years. Not stopped freezing for days. Down to -12C last night and -2C now with a chill factor of -9C.

We're supposed to be in the 2-5" range here, but they say it depends on the low coming up the coast.

My prediction is less than 4" for you, if that.

Let's see how I do!

That is BRISK 🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶

We're in a bit of a cold spell here. I think it was 14⁰F  this morning. Should be nice and toasty 36⁰ by this afternoon though.
