BIG storm

Recommended Posts

ebinmaine

First things first folks.

Be safe out there.

If you can stay inside, do so.

If you need to get out to remove snow or go to work or do recreation or whatever...

Please plan ahead and use common sense.

Proper clothing. Plenty of fuel. Food. Water. Warm blanket in your car.

As I write this it's Tuesday the 13th, late morning.

At this point there's still 2-1/2, 3 days for the storm to materialize here in Maine.

We could be in store for anything from 4 to 12 plus inches.

Where are you?

What's your forecast?

Are you prepared?

Yeah I absolutely. That note and a few dollars will get you absolutely nothing... Maybe not even a cup of coffee nowadays. 😂

They just said on TV, that about 200 miles of Intr 90 is closed in South Dakota now, because of that storm heading your way.  :occasion-xmas:

I'm in mid Mo. this week. The southern arm of that storm went through last night.  Is about 38 deg. and drizzle rain today.  By the amount of standing water I'm seeing, we got a bunch of rain last night.

@Achto   Looks like we might be making "safe ice" next week down here.  I would send @Pullstart out on the ice first, if I had the chance.  :confusion-confused:

I almost did not recognize Sparky !!   :occasion-xmas:  He has been hanging with Pullstart.  He only has 4 fingers on each hand.

If you eat enough curds, you won't need the toilet paper.

Always have plenty of curds & tp. Just worried about running out of fermented fluids though. Better stock up tonight.

Handy Don

It was only 1.5 - 2" in eastern MA last weekend, but my son was glad of the chance to test the new-to-him 312-H and plow at their new-to-them home and get a feel for how best to maneuver for the drive and walks.

He had enjoyed mowing over the summer but declared that plowing is even more fun. :)

Yep, first snow of the season and lots of folks looking to play bumper cars on the highway instead of at the amusement park.

Great picture, Sparky!

The forecast doesn’t look terrible here.  Flurries to maybe 2” by the weekend.  We’ll survive too!
