Cab enclosure question 3-4-500 series

Recommended Posts

Cee245

Hey guys,

Being near Lake Erie, we usually get 100+" of snow a year and I seen a wheelhorse cab and plow package I'm going try to see tomorrow.  This is NOT the company Original, but one that says Wheelhorse if that matters?

My issue is I do not have a garage,  but a 12x 24 shed in which the opening is just 74" high.

Can anyone measure their tractor with a cab's height for me? I would appreciate it.

I dont want keep my tractors outside if I can help it and I can do some fab work to lower the enclosure a bit if need be. But I'd like to see if it's realistic.

Thanks

Cory

You should be good Cory.    I just measured my cab at 71".       And it's on a 520 with 2 link V Bar chains and the seat and fenders and cab raised 1.5".

I have 2 cabs and both measure 69 inches.  One is on a 417 and the other is a 314

You will have to keep the snow down so your height does go away.:P Bob

@oldlineman very true. I keep a shovel there and keep it clear. I have to or the door doesn't close!

I wish the guy would respond. Im glad im not like that. I was supposed to go look this morning (3hr drive 1 way) and all he's said is it was available and he would separate from the plow and other things. I was to get the address this morning and then be on my way.

Now I guess I'll keep looking. Ugh

Sounds like just another Fakebook flunky.  Just this week I was to buy a stove and that died as well.

@lynnmor, at least those time, I was able to call about an almost identical package a little closer (2.5 hr) and I was actually able to speak to the guy!

I'll try to look for a little bit before going that far, who knows, I may get lucky and find one close.
