Yes you can, but may not work with a mower deck when turning. If you don't use it to mow, you are good to go. You can raise the fenders a bit for bigger rear tires if needed. I have a swept axle on my C165 that runs 18-8.50R8s and I do not experience any issues with my 48" deck hitting the wheels and my deck has the large anti-scalp wheels on it from a 270-series deck.
