First year for C series seat safety switch?

My '75 Automatic has 2 wires running out over the transmission that stopped in the seat tool box and were twisted/taped. They start at the PTO switch. 

 

Must be a seat safety switch wire?

Yes they are, 1975 was the first year for the seat switch being a part of the safety switch system.

I believe it was where the tractor was sold because my 1977 C-120 never had a seat safety switch. I bouight it new here in Concord, NC. It came with just the clutch and pto switch.

My 1977 C-120 also does not have a seat switch.Bought it from a good friend that bought it new. Maybe the C-160 was an exception ?

If you take a look at the wiring diagrams for early "C" tractors, 1975 C-100 has a seat switch.

No seat switch in the 1975 illustrated parts list so wonder if it was considered part of the seat. It is in the wiring diagrams.

1976-77 no seat switch in wiring diagrams.

Found this in the 1976 B&C 8-speed operator manual. See no mention is the 1977 operator manual.

EB mounts his seats solid so it wouldn't work anyway. He can just shorten the wires back to the PTO switch and tie them to gether

My 76 160 has no seat switch thingy. 

 

Eric's switch would be welded closed after 10 minutes of seat time anyway!
