ebinmaine 67,464 #301 Posted February 6, 2023 Trina got the seat and fender pan put on today while I was at work. More of an adventure than usual because of the way I have it mounted and because the bushings were of course worn out so she had to go find new ones on other tractors. I cut more threads into these bolts in preparation to mount the hood. Some tractors that we've had come through were bolted on and some had the full width cross pin. I'm sure that cross pin is factory. I like the bolts better. They're tighter. 4

ebinmaine 67,464 #303 Posted February 6, 2023 I wire brushed some hardware so Trina could get the choke and throttle cables back in the dash. She got that in the tractor. We fastened and adjusted the choke to the proper set. She's been hitting the motion control stick with poly a few times yesterday and today. That's now on. 7

It was a cheapo that shouldn't have lasted even this long. I found a bag of N. O. S. gaskets. Still need to source a couple (?) more. The Paint Department BBT is working on the frame and steering tower. Front spindles and tie rods off. I won't be using them. Sanding is done. She's getting everything cleaned up with acetone. Got some engine decals in the post from @Vinylguy Terry. 2 sets there. One is for this tractor. Also found an N. O. S. Later style headlight lense. Ain't likely we'll use it on this one as it'll be a worker. Are the lens all the same other than the fiberglass hoods? Are the bezels the Same through out the years ?

Tonytoro416 1,034 #309 Posted February 9, 2023 Trying to put a bezel and lens in a 67 hood that doesn’t have a cut out for it and the bezel and lens I have just don’t seem to be correct

Well really more to the point, they rivet from behind. Trina has 1967's and I've got 1964s and 5s as you know. I'd be happy to take whatever measurements and pictures you need. Thanks for you guys help as always. Tractor is looking great. It’s great you two work on these tractors together. So went out and took a hard look at this headlight bezel and lens situation. What I have will work. Where I was getting screwed up is my hood as never been cut for headlights. So there 7 openings in the grill. I was thinking that the dealers wouldn’t use that too opening as part of the cut out. Basically the guys with hoods like mine with the headlight bezel in them there are only 6 openings in the grill because the top one was utilized as part of the cutout. DOES THAT MAKE SENSE? The lower "lip" that supports the bezel will be the only thing missing if you cut it out. Not sure if it will be visible or not.

ebinmaine 67,464 #320 Posted February 12, 2023 Another VERY busy day! We did a fair amount of experimenting with fluid filling tires. We tried a few ways to connect. We spilled some. We laughed like he**. 😂 We learned a lot. We now have the rear tires filled with just under 7.5 gallons in one, just over that in the other. Here we have the tire hanging from the chain falls. Worked ok. Here we tried to set the wheel on its side over a 5 gallon pail. That's the ticket. I found an exhaust clamp by sheer lucky accident. I wire brushed it and Trina painted it. After drying we installed the hood so I could line up the muffler direction. Here's the nice bright shiny RED hood. My Local Artist and Woodworking Specialist painted the "Kohler" on the engine and used JB Weld to hold the motion control lever extension in place. Here she is digging the paint outta the grease fittings. Tie rods are all adjusted to 1/8" toe/tow in/inn and tightened up. WIIIIIIDE REAR !! Auto measures 41" across the outside of the rear tires. 2 10
