Solid link for lift, plow, C101?

So, I want to try a solid link (to replace the chain) when I have my plow on for the snow. I bought the long link last year and tried to install it….nope, too long. 
 

OK, then I’ll get the short link. 
 

Nope, too short.

 

is there a medium link?

Remove item 27 and go up to the lift bellcrank 19

Ahhh, I think I am trying to install it incorrectly. I was trying to replace the chain with the solid bar link, but from this diagram, the link goes directly from the lift lever to the plow, bypassing the middle lever.
