Second to family, friends, and food, enjoy the tractors!!! I'm very thankful to have friends like you Dave. I'm so glad that you came into my life... and I actually got to meet you in real life!!! @Jeff-C175 @ebinmaine same goes for you guys, even though we live far away... all of your friendship has meant so much to me. We've had so many laughs, and you guys have been there through everything that has happened this year with Covid-19 in our home... other family matters that have happened. I wouldn't trade you guys' friendship for anything. People like you all and the rest of the group on the forum are hard to come by. I'm thankful for you all. ...and I need some Kleenex... stevasaurus 22,741 #6 Posted November 23, 2022 I would also like to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving !! I've already greased the legs and wings of my turkey. I've cleaned the spark plug and checked the cylinder for wear. I have even re-wired it for even cooking. I'm thinking a little Home Made Concord Wine will help the conductivity and create an excellent gravy. Hope you all enjoy this Special Day my Friends !! 3

953 nut 55,243 #13 Posted November 24, 2022 Happy Thanksgiving to all. Hope you have safe travels and no major appliance failures. About forty years ago my parents and a couple cousins were visiting me for the holiday. Got up early and put the oven on preheat, prepped the turkey for cooking and when I opened the oven it was cold, the heating element was shot. I went out to the charcoal grill and emptied the ashes from the previous evening's cook out. I got a few pieces of hickory and cherry from the scrap pile in my shop and started the fire. Found an open store and got a fifty pound bag of charcoal which I added to the fire. Took a while for the charcoal to catch but once it did I added more hickory and we were cooking. That was the best turkey we ever had, It even cooked faster than in the oven, thermometer on the grill was showing 475 to 550 for a couple hours. 3
