Oh no it’s a Maha. 2.5 liter turbo diesel, 5-speed, 2-speed transfer case. I put an aftermarket grill and put the badge off it on this one.

Thank you Jr. Work hard and use your head for more than a hat rack and you will have one too someday.

A brush hog or simmilar implement maybe in order for it someday... we'll see when spring rolls around.

So far the only thing I don't like about it is the way the draft control is tucked way down beside the range lever. I don't have but a couple hrs seat time on it yet tho so a learning curve with every new to us. :)

jim the Mahindra kind of reminds me in looks of the Honda 6522 my dad bought four years before he passed.  An over engineered four wheel drive three cylinder diesel tractor.  Ours has a backhoe and lots of gears.  We have a couple different backhoe buckets .  Digging was the objective!

Yer gonna love it Dan... lots better than the old Massey.

Speaking of that the guy in Ripon told me it would months if not a year before he could get a Massey (Agco) in the size I wanted. Subs not a problem.

Funny thing is Lane lots of tractors I looked at they had hoes for them. I just don't have a use for one and if I did I would just have Dan put on a Brinley and go a little extra deep!

Many dealers were under an allotment except for Kubota dealers but 186 for a jug of their "special" oil and two filters for the s x s ruled them out.

A 5 gallon bucket of Kubota UDT2 is $131.29, filters are about $10 to $15 each.  I'm not sure that you had a big savings there.

Like MTD makes lawn tractors and others just re-label them to represent their brand.

I thought Mahindra is a India owned parent company. I'm not sure.

It is kind of strange that the new Massey machines, RK, and even Kioti resemble each other.

Not saying I had a good deal ... quite the opposite... I think they seen me coming...

My neighbor has the same 'Bota sxs i have ... fact I let him use mine for chores and he liked it so much did the 50 hr oil change for me and got his own. Year or 2 later I saw him in a Kawi and asked. Said the the motor toasted and they couldn't get replacement parts.  ... scrapped the whole machine :confusion-shrug:

Not too far off base Joe they are. Wikipedia say they have production to make 150,000 tractors a year and have assembly plants here.

On the styling yes I agree they all look the same but certainly different players. Very minor differences in features separate the brands so it appears they are in fierce competition and one is forced to keep up with the others. One makes one thing standard they all follow suit. Especially with cab models.

One thing that Mahindra had that all the others didn't  was no DPF or DEF  on their engines up to 50 hp or any other regen or anti pollution crap. 'Pears also they make their own motors not Mitzs or Yanmars or other off shores.

'Course the jury is still out.

My Roxor is made in India. Those parts are then shipped to Auburn Hills, Michigan and assembled. It’s likely the tractors are as well somewhere in the states. The company started way back in the mid 40’s. They bought the rights to the Willys Jeep in 47. They have been building “Jeep” like vehicles ever since. Mine is a 2019. It was allowed in the country as a SxS only. Most states allow for them to be legalized for road use usually.

I wondered how the Roxor thing was affiliated.  Wonder why the sxs only thing if they are road legal? 'Course lots of UTVs & even golf carts legal now.

Ahh ... they have to be road legal FROM the factory.

SxS thing because they aren’t road legal according to the Federal government. But some states have laws that allow you to. Kind of like the marijuana laws. The only safety equipment is the seat belts. In Michigan you don’t even need it licensed to drive in the roads. But there are restrictions. Or I can put the required equipment on and have it licensed.
