Snow Thrower Compatibility

I am considering picking up a wheelhorse commando 8 3 speed, but I would really like to have a snow thrower

for it. I believe that the model 6 2211 is the correct snow thrower, but I'm not certain. Is there a compatibility chart

somewhere? If not, can someone verify that the 6 2211 is correct for the commando? Is there any other models that 

are compatible with the Commandos?

HI Brian,

The Commandos are great little tractors, but IMO, the 8HP and 3 speed is not the best combo to operate a single stage blower.

The auger is the pump that throws the snow.

 Therefore, to prevent the chute from clogging, the auger RPM must be kept at maximum and the tractor ground speed must be varied to maintain the auger full of snow.

I feel a  12HP minimum with a hydrostatic transmission with a hydraulic lift would make a much better combo to operate a single stage blower.

There are many C or 300 series hydro tractors available.

I see you live in NW Pa so you probably have quite a bit of snow to deal with.

The problem is really the initial pas if you have more than 3-4".  You have to slip the clutch a lot to keep from choking the bower.  On subsequent passes you can sort of adjust by taking small bites each pass.  Will take longer.  Seat time is OK in the summer nor so much in the winter

Thanks guys. i wondering if it would be underpowered. I need to get a snow cab for my 2nd 520H. I have a Snow Thrower, Suitcase Weights and Chains for it already. They are just hard to come by.
