Pullstart 62,851 #2 Posted November 17, 2022 Wow, Belding? Hi neighbor! Do you have any pictures of what you picked up? How about a model/serial tag, on the left side of the hood stand, or under the dash?
Pullstart 62,851 #3 Posted November 17, 2022 by the way. I grew up between Smyrna and Grattan.

Check by the white arrow on the picture below for an id tag. May be painter over, (hate it when this is done) I will throw my hat in the ring for guess's too. I'm going to guess a C-series. First 2 numbers of the model will be the engine horse power. C121 = 12hp engine, C120 = 12hp engine with the C121 being the newer of the two. Problem with guessing the model by the sheet metal = a Charger, Bronco, Cxx0 and Cxx1 models all used the same sheet metal. Ed Kennell 38,170 #8 Posted November 18, 2022 Doesn't the tank under the seat rule out a C-120? C-121 or C141 ?
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,041 #9 Posted November 18, 2022 Up to and including 1977 the hood stand was narrower than the dash housing. 1978-79 the hood stand was as wide as the dash housing. The ID plate was riveted on as the white arrow shows but the plate faced the front of the tractor. Click on the picture in the link to see some ID plate examples.
Blasterdad 2,692 #10 Posted November 18, 2022 Just by looking it's a '78 or '79 C with the shaker plate short block. 1980 was the start of the black hoods. The wrong stickers were put on the hood when it was repainted, still looks good though.

Lee1977 6,659 #14 Posted November 18, 2022 (edited) I agree with Ed on a C-121 or C-141 hydro either 1978 or 1979 they used old style hoods and fender on some early models those years. The metal fender for the gas tank is avabile and could have been changed. Edited November 18, 2022 by Lee1977
