Pat Marchwick 88 #1 Posted November 17, 2022 On the bottom backside of a newer dozer blade there is two keyhole slots on each side. I am thinking this is for adding on a adjustable shoe for snow plowing. I have looked thru the on line manuals and have not found if this is what they are for . I do think it would be a easy way to put height adjustable shoes on the blade by cutting a larger pic of angle iron and bolting it on the backside and adding adjustable feet tubes to it. Does anyone know if this is what they are meant for or has added shoes to a blade. thank
stevasaurus 22,712 #2 Posted November 17, 2022 Yes, Wheel Horse had optional adjustable shoes. They also had side wings that attached to funnel snow in front of the blade. Check out the Manual Section under snow blades for copies.

stevasaurus 22,712 #4 Posted November 17, 2022 I am mistaken about the fins for the snow blades...they were for the snow blowers.

I was hoping you had found a hidden file somewhere. Adding side wings is something I'd like to do to my own plow and it would have been neat to see that it was a Wheel Horse option. 1
