Thank you everyone for the support and encouraging words. So it seems like the back and hip problems could be the least of my problems. Upon reviewing the finding of a"spot" in my pelvic bone the Oncologist found an "abnormality in my blood tests referring me  now to a Hematologist. Upon further blood tests , there is a protein in there associated with bone marrow cancer. He states that it maybe fine but since is right at the border of "worry" warranting further tests and observation. If nothing now, he states that I should be tested every six months so we keep on top of it. So this past week in one day I had 14 Xrays taken from head to toe.Along with extensive urine analyses and of course more blood tests. For sure now I don't need any flash lights to walk in the dark. This coming week also have three additional MRI's scheduled from the Oncologist. If no concrete determination there I will have to do a biopsy of said "spot". All I wanted to do was to have the top of my van clean. Never imagined such a simple task was going to open Pandora's Box. Looks like I am going to be stuck in this endless "loop".

Do you have any updates that you'd be willing to share?  For some reason you came to my mind this week.

Since this started one month ago it has been pretty stressful. Got sort of some determinations  in the last week. Extensive X-rays, CAT scans and MRIs did not find any additional spots on my bones. Blood tests however keep coming up with more concerns. Now there are three proteins which are of concern and associated with bone cancer. Levels are above normal but not yet at the panic stage. I will have to do all of these tests every four months to see what kind of changes if any happen. So much for peace of mind. Now I will start more testing to determine the cause of numbness in my leg. Been avoiding that since I been more preoccupied with the rest.
And of course since I been doing nothing else but do tests and see doctors for a month, now somehow my right knee has given out cause unknown. Just woke up one morning and it hurt like hell. Here I go again. There seems to be little time for anything else.

The medical profession is vary honorable and have our best interest at heart but sometimes it seems like the more doctors you see the more other doctors they will send you to to share the wealth.   :angry-soapbox:    Or it could be that I'm just getting old and everything is past it's "best by date". From time to time I will wake up with a joint that has decided it won't move that day (probably arthurites) but the next day has gone away or moved on someplace else.

I know you can persevere.

As burdensome as circuitous as the medical regimes can sometimes seem, I am thankful for them. Absent a stubborn doctor, I’d likely not be here to type this!

Carry on bravely, sir!
