06-42st04 Blower

Has anybody fund replacement bearing for this snow blower. The OEM bearing hs a horriboe price tag. I know there has to be alternatives available

@nak8111  you are not specific  on the bearing , personal experience , is the lubricant failure in related bearings , if you are dealing with a wide rubber side shield on the bearing , you could easily / carefully  remove the shields , wipe out  / flush out  existing grease , use a hi temp grease , 560 deg  , lucas marine grease and,  or  x tra hd , polyurea /  anti sling , will make a bearing fail safe . done this to all my related  w/h  attachments  with  whining  /  rough bearings . my 42 st01 , spins up without effort or noise . look at your problem as an opportunity .  pete

@nak8111   not the same bearing / pulley related ,but the same issue , make a problem go away , pete

Sorry for the confusion. I need the Lutco Bearing driving the chain . Toro # 10744 which "is no longer available"

Of course it meant a little bit of modification (drilling holes), and I also needed a new shaft because it was REALLY rusted, and turns out that the replacement bearings needed a slightly longer shaft.

I'm not sure if your shaft is 3/4" though, but they have other sizes at "The Big Bearing Store".  (I have no interest in them other than I'm a satisfied customer)
