46% increase in one year.        27% drop in one month.      Still up 36% from one year ago.

So your oil guy came out for a 24.5 gallon fill-up?
All your fill-ups seem small? Or do you just have a small tank? When my tank gets just below half we call and end up with a 130+ gallon fill-up.

I burn a lot of wood and use a heat pump during mild temperatures, my last fill was 27 gallons in the house for a year.  I haven't used more than 50 gallons in the house in recent years.   Since i use oil in the shop and my other house, the supplier will come out and top them off if takes 150 gallon  minimum for the three.

Around here the Industry Standard is 100 gallon minimum to get delivery without a surcharge. ... UNLESS you have Automatic Delivery. Then it's up to the company.

I have a 250 gallon tank.    He is a local one man dealer that tops mine off when he's in the neighborhood.       I heat with wood when the outside temps are below 40F but the oil boiler is still heating my domestic hot water.

When oil price is below $2.50/gallon, don't use the wood stove.
