Does anybody have one of these RJ-58 steering linkage pins? it is Wheel Horse part number #3461, they install on the tie rod end and steering lug end.

Bill, you might be able to get a pin from TSC and cut and drill the correct hole.  I know you want an original, but to fabricate will give you time to find one.  :confusion-confused:

What is the shaft size??  You could grind the head of the right size bolt down to that tolerance...cut the bolt and drill a hole,  It looks like 1/2" shaft by the size of your finger nail.???  :occasion-xmas:

Not that I am saying that you did anything wrong here Craig by posting a link to eBay , but is this not a violation of forum rules?

This is where I disagree with the "posting of other links" rule. What is wrong with letting a member know where he can find the part he is looking for?

@nylyon please tell me where I'm wrong, or clarify this rule.

Here’s the rules for linking to other sites

Linking to other sites:
You may link to other sites under the following guidelines.

1. The information being linked to is proprietary or copy written and should not be copied to WheelHorseForum.com

2. You are linking to an item which is in direct reference to a question being asked.

3. Any link residing within WheelHorseForum.com is acceptable including classifieds.

which part do you disagree with?

Only that when I posted the same kind of link several years ago, I was told to remove it. Can't give you specifics, but I ended up replacing it with the eBay seller's name, and item number. Because it wasn't a link, it wasn't a problem. Also, I sell my brake linings on eBay. A member told me that for whatever reason, he could not connect to my vendor sales through PayPal, so I gave him a link to the eBay site. I was told that I could not do that.

Linking to eBay to sell on the forum is prohibited. If you can show me the other example, more than happy to see if it was a valid call or not by the moderators.

It goes back too far Karl. I've moved on from that one. However, several years ago, when members were attempting to purchase on my vendor site here, they were receiving a warning saying that they could be in danger if they went to my site. I had no idea what was going on, so I went to GoDaddy and found that my SSL Certificate was corrupted (GoDaddy issue). Until it was resolved, having the ability to give them my eBay link would have made a lot of sense.

There’s always talk to the moderators, we’re pretty accommodating when we understand what the need is should it occur again.
