8ntruck 6,998 #6 Posted November 10, 2022 I remember that night. I was in Lansing, Mi. The same storm was blowing pretty good and dumping copious amounts of rain there that night. A good friend of mine was travelling from Houghten, Mi. to Lansing that night. He got stopped on the north side of the Mackinac bridge 'cause it was closed. He saw waves breaking over the northern approach of the bridge. I found the news of the loss of the Fitzgerald kind of hard to believe.
