Thompson1276 256 #1 Posted November 9, 2022 Just had 4 sets of Sears branded 12’ inch wheels and decided why not dually it , for a minute I was onna dually with my freshly painted rears for the horse but the horse has 1’ and 1’ wider and taller tires and the wheels are 1’ narrow with that , but I put a spacer in it and locked em in and put a 75 pound wheel horse rear weight on each wheel between the two wheels and put chrome caps on the end to hide the sears wheels rust but not bad. Also made this HL-5 headlamp bad I still need to gets lights for at harbor freight and run em to the rear light in the back sure I don’t need to take the tank out to get to the control pannel , though sized up and burnt my hand doing it my grabbing pipe red hot I’m fine now , though no finger prints best criminal advantage I guess , for those wondering how I made the bar it Was 5 foot aluminum pipe 1 inch Dia. And was like 1/8 thick and I got my M.A.P. Fuel blow torch and put 2 holes lined up 6 inches across where I was onna bend it , the light part is 16 inches and the middle is 6 , but then blew a hole at 16 inches in and 22 inches in and cut at 28 inches and beng at the holes and lined it up to make it even and then smacked the doled edges flat with a hammer to prevent from moving, then drilled 2 holes at the bottom found some sheet metal plate with squares for 1/4 bolts I ran through and the pipe to hold it in at surplus city in a bucket , then holes at the top 1/2 inch down and then painted it chrome to prevent rust , very solid and works , I’ll post another pic ones lights are on. I’m not a professional at metal bending but I have repaired rust holes with license plates , fiberglass , and bondo .

If the outer tires go over something higher than the inner tires it will put too much strain on the hub and axle if the outer tire is fully inflated. 4

Jeff-C175 7,202 #6 Posted November 9, 2022 This is camera lens distortion, right? You don't really have that much negative camber on the PU truck, do you? 1

It doesn’t look bad but it won’t pass inspection I’m still trying to find a way to maybe restore it again , the truck is all original was off the show room floor with the lift and stuff in 2002 , the frame on this has a recall for lack of anti rust compound not added on but chevys solution to this recall was spray it on after if you knew about the recall and your truck isn’t rusted out so I never knew till it was too late and I can’t just get a new frame but I’ll find a way since the body and cab is like new , it only has 82,000 miles and has a fresh well taken care of 5.3 Vortec 1

That’s actually sick as hell I have a sears suburban 12 I been wanting to make a crawler I have wheel horse rears tires on the thing can do anywhere and the engine will last forever but the lack of a fuel pump makes it shut off at high inclines and the carb sucks ass since it’s a tecumseh the lack of torque makes it struggle to go up a hill in 3rd hi , but in Lo gears it’ll go anywhere it’s just too slow , too bad there isn’t anywhere here with hella rocks and **** or parks i was onna restore it but I made it a pull start since I can’t find ANY battery that fits it far batterys are too wide and UH1 batterys are too high and the battery for it they don’t make anymore and whatever , so I might keep it stock looking but make it go offroad or pull since it can pop willies in the air just letting go in 3rd hi without trying like at all , but idk maybe put a Koehler in it or something but I’d still need a battery to fit and it would be pull start and I know pull starting a k301 is hard as <censored> compared to a tecumseh
