gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,090 #3 Posted November 8, 2022 Here is the ipl. Once you have the Toro number go to the top of our Transmission section to some pined topics on alternative seals. Napa and SKF are popular sources. JoeM 7,874 #5 Posted November 8, 2022 My best luck has been with the SKF seals. Stay away from old stock stuff. I have got some bargains and the seals failed after a running a while. Just think they were old and not pliable. The metal housing on SKF seals are half the thickness of the OEM seal, and this allows the seal to be installed into the housing deeper and lets the seal run on a better part of the shaft. Plus if no thrust washer is used the seal will not be rubbed by the hub cause the axle floats a but in and out.
