Dennis C. 142 #1 Posted November 6, 2022 Parts and repair still available for the Eaton trans on my 1996 314 H?
ebinmaine 68,257 #2 Posted November 6, 2022 There are plenty of that vintage around so repairs and maintenance should be fine. A to Z Tractor in PA would likely have a good stock of used parts. Is there a particular concern?
Dennis C. 142 #4 Posted November 7, 2022 ebinmaine. Actually the tractor is in extremely good condition with only 560 hours on it. Looks almost new but the previous owner thought he was a mechanic and destroyed the engine. I have since had that rebuilt with a newer block. The only reason i asked about the transmission was out of concern I may need some repair down the rode. So far the trans operates as it should. Thanks for responding.
Dennis C. 142 #5 Posted November 7, 2022 Now that you mention it. My tractor almost comes to a stop when I make a turn. It slows down very noticeably and returns to normal speed once the turn is completed. I've checked the motion friction on the control lever and it has enough drag. Thoughts? ebinmaine 68,257 #6 Posted November 7, 2022 I won't be much help on a newer hydro. Hopefully somebody else can chime in...
oldlineman 1,482 #7 Posted November 7, 2022 I believe some models had a speed reducing option when turning, not sure if this is one of them. I have nothing that new. Bob 1
