Electro Slotted Hitch Installation

The lift cable 104928 for the genuine Wheel Horse slotted hitch had a red paint mark signifying where the cable bend should be in order to get the correct raise and  lower height of the hitch. Anyone know the distance from the swage end on the cable to the center of the red mark? Thanks for all your help!

I don't have a dimension but if you loosen the bolts for the tool box and install the cable then run the lift up and down you will find there is a sweet spot where everything works without interference. Cable sheath (# 60) fits snugly into the notch in the tool box when tightened.

I’m not sure what that would accomplish? The heavy seat and seat pan would need to come off first? Moving the cable liner which is already installed does nothing to the cable length? I would still have to keep loosening and sliding the cable clamps, and try to figure out the overall cable length, would I not? And, the real issue is I have no idea how high or low the hitch should be in the max up and down positions? I could screw this up very easily. 

 

If I have the red mark location, I can do it all in a few minutes. I think it is possibly 23”. Not sure. Thanks for your interest.

My presumption was that you were installing a complete lift cable assembly.

@Searcher60  only a suggestion , lubricate as you set up , aerosol lube in the slide tube to enhance any movement areas . dry / rusty , collectively  makes things  difficult to use , pete
