mason_811 24 #1 Posted November 3, 2022 (edited) Hey everyone. I know this might be in the wrong section, but it is an antique engine nonetheless. My fire department has an antique model AA truck that we use as a display and parade piece (runs great!). With it was a Carver pump married to an NP Briggs. Obviously the pump does not run (yet.) My goal is to see if it is possible to make noise with it. Currently the engine turns over by hand. I'm sure with some fresh oil, fuel, and some checking and love on the points I could have a runner. The issue begins though at the throttle linkage, or lack thereof. There is a spring, but no linkage. Anyone have experience with these? I found a manual that shows a linkage but im sure it is probably not too easy to find anymore. Thanks in advance, and sorry it's not about one of my horses! (Going to try to figure out how to resize the picture so it will let me post) Edited November 3, 2022 by mason_811
Pullstart 63,539 #2 Posted November 3, 2022 Looks like these? (From http://www.gravelyguy.com/briggs--stratton-1.html) I have a few old Briggs engines and am not sure what models they are. Maybe I have what you need.

I've got a bad picture of the the throttle controls and spring mounts and spring not attached to anything too Edit: I can't get the other pictures to post even though I've resized them. I can more than likely send them though. Edited November 3, 2022 by mason_811

As I recall, it didn't have a 'throttle' though, just a governor to hold the speed steady.
